Every year in September Washington, DC offers an incredible set of experiences for locals and visitors. It is called DC Walking Town. Started 25 years ago, it still is running and is celebrating its anniversary this year. I am a newbie and have only been offering tours for 10 years! I have offered Clara Barton tours in Civil War attire, Nellie Taft tours around the Tidal Basin and the cherry trees, Embassy Row tours, and more. This year I am offering “Kalorama: A Beautiful Place,” a tour in the elegant Kalorama neighborhood where we find many stories. And I’ll be in Civil War attire dressed as a nurse. Hint: It has something to do with the Kalorama neighborhood. I love DC Walking Town!
